This latest crash brings the number of those killed on Ugandan roads across the country in less than 30 days to more than fifty five.

The police described the incident “as very unfortunate” – conveying their condolences to the bereaved families.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the motor vehicle was overloaded with passengers traveling from Ngai to attend a football match in Kamdini.

The driver of the killer UPDF vehicle has been arrested and the vehicle handed over to the Abim Police.

The identities of the deceased have yet to be established as police continue their investigations.
