A second half goal from Amuka Bright Star player Dickens Okwir became a vital point for Lango Province during FUFA Drum match against Acholi Province at Pece Stadium in Gulu town on Saturday.
Acholi Province had taken an early lead through a beautiful foot-work from Police FC winger Norman Ogik, 10 minutes into the game that was attended by not less than eight thousand blissful football fans from Acholi and Lango Sub regions.
Among cheerful fans, was the Paramount Chief of Lango, Won Nyaci Yosam Odur Ebii and his second in command, Prime Minister Dr. Richard Nam. Others were MPs from Acholi and Lango among other bigwigs.

The draw means Acholi Province remains on top of group B with eleven points followed by Buganda with seven, Lango with five points in third position and Kigezi sitting fourth with four points.
Kigezi was beaten 1:0 by Buganda side same day, Saturday.
Acholi Province team coach Peter Onen said his boys played well though they failed to convert some of the opportunities into goals.
“We created many chances but couldn’t convert them into goals, but all in all, the boys played a good game,” Onen said during a post match press briefing in Gulu town.
Lango Province head coach, Bob Obira told TND Sports that the point grabbed was very vital, adding that it has increased their chances of qualifying for the next round of the tournament.

“Today’s draw improves our chances of qualifying to the next round of the tournament,” Obira says.
Rtd. Hon Dan Kidega, the Acholi Province team Patron appealed to the youth to use football to boost unity given its immense followers.
