The suspects have been identified as Jordan Kibuka, 25, and Semata, also known as Kidewalime, 23.

RPC has instructed officers in the region to carry out joint intelligence operations to ensure peace, stability, and the eradication of criminal activities.

All the suspects are residents of Arwot A Cell and neighboring areas within the same town council.

The crime occurred on February 26 at 20:30 am at Alit village, Adola parish, Awiodyek sub-county, Lira.

Since the year began, close to 15 murder related cases have been recorded with police across Lango sub-region. 

The suspect, Opio Denis, has been arrested and is currently detained in police custody.

Since the year began, police in North Kyoga region has registered more than 10 murder cases across Lango sub-region. The figures continue to worry stakeholders.

No arrests had been made by press time, and efforts are ongoing to trace and apprehend the suspects who are currently on the run.

Police have encouraged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to the nearest police post.

Five suspects are at large, one identified as Apio Stella has since been arrested to assist with investigations, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, said.

Stones suspected to have been used as murder weapons were recovered and kept as exhibits, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, PRO for North Kyoga Region said.
