John Byaruhanga severely cut his children aged 7, 9 and 14 while they were asleep.

Odon Keneth was fatally stabbed by an unknown assailant in Abedober village, Arwotcek parish, Amolatar district.

The suspected gangsters are identified as Ogwang Stanley, 20, Okot Janan, 17, Odok Joshua, 20, Ocaya Emmanuel, 21, Mule Emmy, 20, and Ayo Brian, 17.

The suspect was immediately apprehended by local leaders and handed over to police at Minakulu Town Council Police Station.

The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Kwania, Richard Arikwanga Noon, strongly condemned the act of students taking the law into their own hands.

The deceased was a Senior Four boarding student and a resident of Imeny village, Apolika parish, Chawente sub-county, Kwania.

Upon searching their bags, officers recovered pangas, breaking implements, and two suspected stolen phones. 

Police PRO for Albertine, Julius Allan Hakiza, noted that in the last weeks, they registered a decrease in motor theft, but with an increase in vandalism on vehicles. 

The police have urged members of the public are urged to always hand over suspects to relevant authorities for proper investigation and legal action.

Preliminary findings indicate that the suspects gained entry into the complainant’s house by breaking through the door.

In the ensuing confrontation, all seven students sustained injuries, with three suffering severe wounds to the head, neck, hands, and ribs.
