As the competitions get underway in Tororo, hopes remain high that the young athletes from Lamwo and Kitgum will not only compete strongly but also gain valuable experience that will shape their future in sports.

Ogwang, in his communication during the handover, said that all the construction works are going to be implemented by the Uganda Police Defence Forces (UPDF) engineering brigade and are expected to be completed in only six months.

Lamwo and Kole districts are currently among the few districts in the Acholi and Lango sub-regions that have secured titled land specifically designated for stadium development.

Mathew Dicken Canamita, chairperson of the Acholi and Lango District Sports Officers Association, said the meeting was intended to streamline sports development efforts, among others.

For the baseball launch, Jane Frances Acilo provided essential equipment including helmets, shin guards, softball gear for girls, catchers’ gloves, and baseball bats.
