The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) coordinator in charge of elders in the Lango sub-region, James Olobo Dubai, has flagged off 16 coordinators to conduct grassroots registration across 13 sub-counties and three town councils.

The coordinators were dispatched on Tuesday during a ceremony where Olobo handed over materials to the sub-county coordinators.

Olobo, PLU’s Cadre No.145, urged members of the public to register freely and carry their national identity cards.

He also assured them that they would receive PLU membership cards in due course.

Olobo emphasised that the registration is open to members of any political party, provided they support the candidature of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba.

He called for massive participation in the registration exercise at the grassroots level.

The former Kyoga North MP, Dubai, further explained that PLU is not a political party, but a pressure group operating under the National Resistance Movement (NRM).

Olobo Dubai is also former NRM chairperson, Amolatar and a former MP contestant, Kaberamaido County, Kabermaido district.
