Do not go for satanic powers, Apac’s UPC politicians told

Apac – 17 November 2020:  The Vicar Apac Urban Archdeaconry has appealed to politicians and candidates vying for different political offices to be very near to God.

Rt. Rev. Ameny Christopher also warned politicians at all levels to avoid insulting one another. He said this when he was offering prayer to 20 candidates holding UPC ticket in the forthcoming elections.

The prayer event took place at St. Thomas Church of Uganda, Apac yesterday on Monday 16 November 2020.

“You should seek God first, but do not go for satanic powers,” he appealed.

Mr Ameny Ogwang Tonny who is the UPC chairperson for Apac Municipality said UPC members ask for strength from God.

“As a leader, I am sure that we are stronger when guided by the Jesus,” he added.

The Apac woman MP aspirant on independent ticket, Adie Rebecca-Moro said once elected she will improve ‘service delivery gap’, education and health.

 “When I have the mandate to parliament, I will also work on other issues affecting local persons,” she told TND News in an interview, Tuesday.
