By Nasuru Hassan Ocen | Dokolo Assistant RDC has tasked the NRM chairperson to call for a reconciliation engagement meeting with NRM aspirants who lost various positions in the recent primary election to harmonise divisions and conflicts among party leaders and supporters.
The Assistant RDC, Isaac Oceng Otim, made the statement during the closure of the national youth election at Dokolo Technical School, Dokolo town council, Dokolo district.
Otim tasked the NRM chairperson of Dokolo, Geoffrey Opio Ekong, to call for an immediate engagement meeting with NRM aspirants who lost the recent elections to reconcile and harmonise the matter for them to support the flag bearers ahead of the forthcoming election.
Otim appealed to the youth to support the ruling government and take the lead in mobilisation for the party.
The NRM district registrar of Dokolo, Isaac Omara, said the election went smoothly without violence.
He cautioned delegates and candidates to desist from illegal practices which can jeopardise their political careers.
NRM chairperson Ekong called for solidarity, unity, and togetherness among party leaders, candidates, and supporters before the 2026 general election.
The administrative secretary of the party for Dokolo John Bosco Otoke, appealed to the youth to embrace discipline for better future leadership.
Dokolo youth league chairperson and candidate vying for the position of Northern vice chairperson youth, Fred Eladu Omiat, speaking shortly after the election, applauded the government for recognising and engaging youths in the political race to build their future careers in leadership.
Eladu expressed his hope that he will win the position of national vice chairperson of youth because he has done great mobilisation across the country.
