Kampala | Police have directed a driver of the motor vehicle with Reg. No. UG 0302L belonging to the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development to report to their station.
As per the Police statement of September 25, the driver they have not identified is wanted for improper overtaking and overtaking a queue of vehicles at Kyaliwajjala, Kira municipality in Wakiso district.
The wrongdoing happened on Monday at 07:27 a.m., according to Police.
The driver is charged with “careless driving or inconsiderate use of motor vehicle” Contrary to Section 119 of the Traffic and Road Safety Act 2020.
“The vehicle is blacklisted, and the driver must report to Namugongo Police Station,” the statement adds.
In Uganda, reckless driving is among the leading causes of road crashes and fatalities.
