Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has reportedly said that National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi, commonly known as Bobi Wine, will not be allowed to contest in another election in Uganda.

In a statement attributed to Muhoozi on X, the UPDF Chief of Defence Forces strongly criticised the opposition leader and questioned his political activities following the previous election.

“Kabobi will never be allowed to stand in another election in Uganda again,” Muhoozi reportedly posted.He further accused Bobi Wine of being a “foreign puppet,” linking the claim to the opposition leader’s activities outside Uganda after the last election.Muhoozi reportedly referred to Bobi Wine’s departure from Uganda about 10 days after the election as evidence for his accusation.

“He proved he is a foreign puppet when he ran abroad 10 days after the last elections,” the statement attributed to Muhoozi reads.Muhoozi also used strong language against the NUP leader, saying that he would not be allowed to stand for political office in Uganda again.
