Betrayal Turns Sour, Ashburg Katto Kneels Down, Begs For Bobi Wine’s Forgiveness For Dumping NUP & Joining NRM

Former People Power mobiliser and blogger Ashburg Katto has made an emotional public appeal for forgiveness from National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, years after leaving the opposition movement and joining the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM).

In videos shared on social media, Katto is seen kneeling while appealing to Bobi Wine and former colleagues to forgive him for his decision to leave the opposition movement. He also expressed regret over the political choices he made at the time.

Katto was once closely associated with Bobi Wine and played a prominent role in the People Power movement. He also founded Ghetto TV, an online platform that helped amplify Bobi Wine’s political activities.In 2020, Katto publicly announced that he was leaving the People Power movement and joining the NRM.
