Tiktoker Obonyo accuses Maruzi North MP Lemba of assault

Lemba

Lango singer and tiktoker Patrick Obonyo has recorded a case of assault against Maruzi North MP Nelson Okello Lemba.

Obonyo accuses Lemba of threatening his life, further stating that the MP told him “I have the capacity to do anything on you because you have nothing.”

Speaking to Devine FM in Apac town, Obonyo told the local radio news desk that Lemba confiscated his bicycle and smartphone.

The above, tndNews understands, was taken from Obonyo at the weekend when he visited Lemba’s wife at her pharmacy in Apac town.

When he entered the pharmacy, Lemba was inside the next room. “On Sunday, when he came to Apac town, Obonyo found my wife and told her ‘I won’t sing for your husband’. When he saw me, he started trembling. I told him “you come and we talk – i have seen your Tiktok video and I want us to finish it here or we take it to the clan leader – Jurubabel Opio Okori,” Lemba told tndNews.

In his Tiktok video, Obonyo shared that in the 2021 general election, Maxwell Akora, Maruzi County MP “funded Lemba’s campaign”. “I asked him, who told you that Akora funded me in 2021?” “He (Obonyo) started shouting and claiming that I was going to kill him,” Lemba added in an interview on Tuesday.

According to Lemba, Obonyo found his way out of the pharmacy and rushed to Apac Central Police Station. “While there, he reported that I wanted to kill him. Three police officers came to me on a motorcycle.”

“First of all, Obonyo is my clan brother. You know, in politics you can take sides – which is okay – it’s normal. I am not mad to beat a person like Obonyo. Let us not play politics of blackmail and antagonism.”

On July 21, Obonyo opened an assault case against Lemba at Apac CPS under Ref. No. 47/21/07/2025.

“Fortunately, I have recovered my bicycle and smartphone,” the Tiktoker said. “I know I am poor but justice does not mind whether you are rich or poor.”
