Eng. Oteng Moses, who is running for Kole District LC5 chairperson in the NRM party’s primary and general elections in 2025 and 2026, has received widespread support from the electorate.
With his campaign slogan “Innovative Approach to Wealth and Good Governance” and the Lango mantra, Oteng is emerging as the frontrunner for what analysts predict will be a historic victory.
A number of strong NRM members in Kole support him at all levels, beginning with the grassroots.
Eng. Oteng previously lost to the late Akoli Betty Nam, but this time he is viewed as a game changer in Kole.
With an engineering background, the senior politician promises to prioritize infrastructure development and leadership, as well as improving community access to social services and expediting road, water, and agricultural projects.
Despite losing in 2021, he has demonstrated strong performance. “I’m sure there could be no formidable challenger identified yet in party competition,” he said.
Speaking on Wednesday in Lira City, he revealed “unanimous support” during a recent district meeting, where a number of youths (500+) volunteers mobilized themselves under “Team Oteng”.
The NRM primary elections for the LC5 flagbearer are scheduled for July 2025.
“Kole’s transformation begins with accountable leadership. We’ll engineer progress brick by brick,” he said.
