Amolatar youth supported with “life-changing project”

Amolatar

Amolatar | Amolatar woman Member of Parliament has commissioned a poultry project that benefits ten youth enterprises.

On July 17, 2024, Agness Atim Apea (PhD) donated over 200 kuroiler chickens to youth in Etam, Agikdak, and Namasale sub-counties, respectively.

While giving the chickens on Apea’s behalf, Opio Obote, the MP’s political assistant, stated that the goal is to reduce poverty in Amolatar households.

100 piglets were also distributed to selected individuals, along with 20,000 cashewnut seeds. All donations are intended to improve the livelihoods of ordinary people in the Amolatar district.

Obote urged the recipients to support the poultry project, pointing out that it will benefit other young people as well.

Apea’s assistant urged young people to shift their mindset towards development and stop squandering opportunities provided by leaders such as Apea and the government.

Most people take free things for granted, he said, and they do not bother even when we work hard to improve their standard of living.

JB Okello, coordinator for Goodies Leisure in Amolatar, stated that he will continue to network with other youth so that they can benefit from the project.

He promised that young people with a development focus would be chosen again to benefit from poultry keeping.

He encouraged poultry farmers to plant maize to supplement their chicken feed.

Scovia Nabutono of Agikdak sub-county thanked MP Atim for helping them with a life-changing project.

She promised to develop as a farmer through the poultry project.

Ocen Solomon from Namasale urged other youth to participate in activities that attract leaders to assist them.

He encouraged other young people to take up poultry farming, describing it as a life-changing project.

Ocen stated that this will prevent youth from begging and stealing.

Otema Robin of Etam sub-county stated that he is willing to train other young people on how to raise poultry.

He thanked Apea for always assisting people of all backgrounds in their development.

Apea donated kuroilers to people with disabilities about a month ago to help them earn more money.

It is worth noting that MP Apea is currently recovering from a spine surgery performed in India.
