Luwero |Colline Angwech, who says she will run for Kyoga County MP seat in 2026, met with pilgrims from Amolatar on May 28.
The pilgrims had reached Luwero. They showed incredible fortitude and thanked Angwech.
Angwech is the country director of Faraway Friends and an educator.
With particular attention to the 13-year-old pilgrim Kula Jonathan and the esteemed elders, some of whom are in their sixties, Angwech expressed her profound admiration for the pilgrims’ tenacity.

She pleaded with God to keep blessing them and making sure they are safe on their journey while they pray and speak up for everyone.
She also urged the pilgrims to pray for their hometown, Amolatar, and to seek divine guidance through virtuous leaders.
She defines virtuous leaders as those who demonstrate compassion, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to community progress and welfare.
The MP hopeful emphasised that we only have exceptional leaders because of divine intervention.
Millions of pilgrims are flocking to Namugongo Martyrs shrines across the country in preparation for Martyr’s Day on June 3.
Some have already arrived at both shrines (Catholic and Anglican), and dozens more are expected today.
