Former FDC party president General Mugisha Muntu has come out to congratulate National Resistance Movement [NRM] party for their electoral victories across the country.
Mr Muntu sends his congratulatory message to ruling party via Twitter on Saturday.
“I’d also like to congratulate @NRMOnline candidates that won their respective races & encourage you to always remember whose voices you represent: not the high and mighty in govt, but the downtrodden people of this country. Put them first. God bless you all.
#CountryBeforeSelf,” he tweeted.
It’s worth remembering that Gen Muntu, like his predecessor Dr Kizza Besigye and his successor Patrick Amuriat Oboi all campaigned vigorously for FDC candidates before Friday concluded elections.
On Friday, people in Bugiri, Apac, Sheema, Kotido Municipalities and others elected their MPs with ruling party taking nearly all seats.
