Brigadier Jackson Pande Kajuba of the UPDF was on Thursday appointed to replace Major General Deus Sande.
Sande died on Wednesday, February 11 after severe breathing complications on his way to Kampala.
Brigadier General Pande Kajuba has been serving as the Deputy Commander of the UPDF Armoured Division under Major General Deus Sande.
Colonel Wilson Bagonza Rwakanara from the Special Forces Command (SFC) is promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed the Deputy Commander of the UPDF Armoured Division.
The appointments take immediate effect, according to Col. Chris Magezi, acting director defence public information.
“We congratulate the General officers on the new appointments and wish them good luck in the execution of their duties,” Col. Magezi added.
