Lira City Woman Member of Parliament and Minister of Health, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, has declared that her ministry has constructed over 54 Health Centre III facilities in Lango sub-region.

Dr Aceng, who is also the NRM flagbearer for Lira City in the upcoming general elections, made the announcement while presenting her report card to constituents.

The incumbent MP received an overwhelming welcome from residents of Ngetta Ward, Lira City East Division, as she detailed her achievements over the past four years in Parliament.

She was addressing one of her campaign rallies in the ward on December 26, 2025.

During her address, Dr Aceng cited that her ministry constructed over 54 different health facilities across the Lango sub-region. She also highlighted the provision of a brand new ambulance for every district in the region to bolster healthcare delivery.

The Lira City legislator specified that out of the more than 54 Health Centre IIIs, Oyam district received 10, Dokolo district got 6, and Kwania district received 5, among other districts.

She further advocated for support for President Yoweri Museveni Kaguta and all NRM candidates nationwide, urging voters to choose the NRM government for continued developmental progress.

The community praised Dr Aceng’s tireless efforts in balancing her ministerial and parliamentary duties with grassroots engagement.

Her initiatives, particularly the provision of ambulances and the upgrade of health facilities, were cited as having brought significant development to the entire Lango sub-region.

“We are convinced that Dr Aceng is the right leader for Lira City. She has shown remarkable dedication to the community of Lango, including the entire city, and we promise to vote for her come January 15, 2026,” said one resident.

The attendees urged their fellow voters to turn out in large numbers to re-elect Dr Aceng, citing her proven commitment to their welfare.

The MP’s campaign team was visibly moved by the warm reception, and Dr Aceng expressed her profound gratitude to the people for their steadfast support.

As the NRM candidate for Lira City Woman MP for the 2026-2031 term, Dr Aceng’s message resonated strongly with the electorate, giving a significant boost to her campaign momentum ahead of the January 15, 2026, polls.

Currently, residents from both Lira City East and West Divisions say they are rallying behind Minister Dr Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero, where she is gaining significant support.

She assured voters that the NRM government under President Museveni will establish an industrial park at Aler Farms for the people of the Lango sub-region.
