The Kiira Regional Police Command, led by SSP Charles Nsaba, said they are heavy with grief following the passing of the “beloved Bishop of the Diocese of Jinja” Rt. Rev. Charles Martin Wamika, which occurred on October 22, 2025.
In his condolence message released by SP James Mubi, the Kiira Region Police PRO, SSP Nsaba said the Bishop’s legacy will continue to live on through his faith, service, compassion, and humility toward God’s people.
He extended heartfelt sympathy to the Bishop’s family, friends, the congregation of the Diocese of Jinja, and the entire Catholic Church community, praying that God’s presence brings them strength and comfort during this difficult time.
