Anthony Olobo Odur outlines “clear mission” after NRM nomination for Apac LC5 seat

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) party has started nomination exercise for aspirants who have expressed interests in holding the yellow flags ahead of 2026 general elections.

The nominations are scheduled to end on June 31, according to the roadmap issued by the NRM electoral commission chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi.

On June 17, Anthony Olobo Odur, son of Won Nyaci of Lango, Yosam Odur Ebii was nominated. Olobo is contesting to become the Apac district LC5 chairperson.

Shortly after his nomination, he spoke. “Today, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been nominated at the NRM Electoral Commission, marking a crucial step towards transforming Apac district. Our mission is clear: to put an end to bad leadership and poor service delivery that has hindered our progress for far too long.”

“As your leader, I’ll be committed to a comprehensive agenda that addresses the pressing needs of our community,” he added.

Olobo is focusing on wealth creation initiatives, and promises to implement programs that empower locals with skills, support entrepreneurship, and attract investments to stimulate economic growth and job creation.

Improved healthcare: “Our goal is to ensure everyone has access to quality medical care. We’ll work on upgrading healthcare facilities, recruiting more health professionals, and promoting preventive care.”

On education, he promised to enhance it, saying “education is key to our district’s future.” “We’ll strive to improve school infrastructure, support teachers with training and resources, and ensure every child has access to quality education.

Olobo intends to eradicating corruption, a significant obstacle to Apac district’s development. “We’ll work tirelessly to ensure transparency, accountability, and prudent management of our resources, so every shilling counts.”

“This journey is not just about me; it’s about all of us working together to build a brighter, more prosperous future for Apac district.

“I’m honored to lead this charge and invite every resident to join hands with us. Together, we can achieve great things,” he concluded.
