Okodo donates food valued at millions to flood-affected families in Amolatar

Amolatar | Peter Okodo, who is eying Kyoga North Parliamentary seat in 2026 has donated food items worth more than shs10 million to families affected by floods in Etam town council and Etam sub-county in Amolatar district.

The 3,000 kilograms of food items consist of maize flour (ugali) and beans.

The majority of the 100 households that benefited were disadvantaged groups, such as the elderly, child-headed families, widows, and widowers.

Each family received 20 kilograms of top-quality maize flour and 10 kilograms of beans.

Okodo, who handed over the food items to the beneficiaries on Sunday at an Etam town council function, explained that he was motivated to help after hearing several testimonies from affected families.

The beneficiaries, who could not contain their excitement, pleaded for more support from other leaders, particularly the government.

They blessed Okodo’s move to Parliament in 2026, saying he is the kind of a leader they have been anticipating to have in Kyoga North Constituency.
