Strange pot scares Namasale residents

Amolatar | On October 29, a strange black pot was found in the nearby bush, leaving the residents of Okwor village in Naveyo parish, Namasale sub county, in shock.

Ejwatu John reported that while grazing his cow around 3 p.m., he noticed a piece of polythene paper and a pot, prompting him to summon his neighbors for an investigation.

When they arrived, they discovered a pot covered in a plastic bag.

Ogwal Patrick, a local council leader from Okwor village, confirmed that he received reports of the incident and promptly went to the scene.

As of Monday, community members were actively looking for the pot’s owner and wondering if anyone had brought a witchdoctor to the area.

Ogwal told tndNews that they would handle the situation properly.

A local council leader from Kitala village in Etam town council has also voiced concerns about the recent summons of 19 people for allegedly pursuing a suspected witch out of their community.

He described how the community decided to vote for the witch’s removal.

Opio Fred, another local leader, questioned why someone accused of witchcraft would seek police assistance after destroying her own belongings.

He also stated that the community is dealing with unexplained deaths and instances of madness, which prompted them to hold a meeting to vote out the suspected witch.
