Kampala | On Thursday night, President Museveni released a new list of amended ministers in a long-awaited reshuffle.
Museveni, 79, dropped six ministers. Two of the six are facing charges before court for diverting iron sheets for the needy people of Karamoja sub-region.
Ministers Grace Kitutu and Agness Nandutu who were appointed to elevate Karamoja from poverty, and destitution, among other assignments, were dropped.
Balam Ateenyi Byarhugaba is now the minister of youth and children affairs in the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development.
Balam’s boss, Betty Amongi retained her ministerial office.
