Dokolo | Lira City East MP is in Dokolo district to continue with his planned nationwide mobilisation tours ahead of higher ambition in 2026.
MP Jimmy Akena, also the UPC party president, was accompanied to Dokolo by different party leaders.
They were received by thousands of people. After Dokolo, Akena will head to the Kigezi sub-region as he tries to build momentum ahead of the 2026 general elections.
Atinkic (an orphan) could be in the race for the presidency in 2026. Akena has laid wreaths on the graves of some UPC members.
The first place he visited was in Awala village, Bardyang parish, Adok sub-county where he remembered the late Dr Syrlo Egwange. He was killed by the late President Idi Amin Dada.
He later went to Acandyang A, Anerialibi parish in Okwangodul. The UPC leader was yet to address a huge gathering by press time.
