Kampala I A few hours after President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni hosted Somaliland special envoy Dr. Jama Musse Jama at State House, Entebbe, some ‘Somalilanders’ have talked tough, especially on the mediation request.
Speaking with the envoy, Museveni said that he does not support the secession of Somaliland from Somalia because it is “wrong”.
“We don’t support secession because strategically, it is wrong,” President Museveni added.
On his part, Dr. Jama informed his host that there is an agent need for Somalia and Somaliland to unite because “they are missing out on a lot of development”.
Jama subsequently requested President Museveni to “take centre stage in uniting the two countries because of his influential role in Somalia”.

Soon after tndNews published the story, some commenters believed to be citizens of the world’s “unrecognized” country talked tough. Here are the comments from them:

If Dr Jama uttered above mentioned words of unity of Somalia and Somaliland, then Somaliland security and judiciary should take immediate action after his arrival. The President should answer also what his special envoy has conveyed to President Museveni.
The population of Somaliland is waiting for an answer if this statement of Dr Jama is true.
Fouzia Ismail
Somaliland will never reunite with Somalia. Do not dream.
Wabeneye Baar
If this is true then the Somaliland people have been cheated by their leadership. In that case, change is imminent. The present elite, politicians (govt & opposition) should be replaced by force ASAP. It means a lot of jails should be vacated to give room for these culprits.
