Amolatar to hold special council meeting in honour of fallen CFO

A special council meeting in honour of the fallen CFO is scheduled.


Amolatar, August 9, 2022: The west Lango district lost its chief financial officer (CFO) Solomon Okello on Monday afternoon. The deceased is being eulogised as a true civil servant, very honest and committed to public service.

Geoffrey Ocen, the Chairperson LC5 is among many from the district and outside to say good things about the deceased.

“It’s with profound sadness and grief that I announce the untimely death of Solomon Okello Ogwal the Chief Finance Officer Amolatar district local government that occurred today afternoon from Mulago National Referral Hospital.”

“His death came just four months to his retirement date from civil service. He was a very honest and hardworking civil servant who served Amolatar with distinction,” he added.

“He loved his work, people, transparency and was a great timekeeper.”

According to the LC5, the Amolatar District local government and the people of Amolatar will greatly miss his services.

“In recognition of his services, Amolatar District will have a special council meeting on Friday 12/08/2022 at 9:00 am at Education Hall and burial will be on Saturday 13/08/2022 at the ancestral home near Te-te trading centre, Awinyipany parish, APUTI sub-county, Amolatar District.”

Amolatar district will do everything possible together with the family to give him a decent send-off befitting a person of his status, Ocen added.
