A month ago, a man was found murdered in the same area in Soroti.

Residents of Wire Cell, Nakatunya Ward in Soroti City West Division woke up to a shocking incident when a lifeless body of a Karimojong native lying in a pool of blood was found.
The victim, according to Paul Opige, the LC1 chairman of the area was allegedly murdered last night by yet-to-be-identified assailants.
Opige narrated saying: “The man who has been staying with the deceased came to me yesterday evening around 7:00 pm saying he has a family issue that he wanted me to intervene to help him solve but he refused to reveal to me where they stay.”
“Now this morning, we woke up finding that the woman is dead and that man is nowhere to be seen.”
Lucy Sagal, a sister to the deceased identifies the victim as Florence Ileny,25, a mother of four and a resident of Lorengecora village in Napak district.
She narrated the ordeal saying, “Ileny has been cohabiting with an unidentified fellow Karimojong man with whom she perpetually had domestic wrangles.”
“That man has been staying with my sister and they used to fight a lot. Just yesterday evening those people fought again and the man vowed to kill his wife over issues I also don’t know about,” Sagal said.
Oscar Gregg Ageca, the East Kyoga Regional Police spokesperson couldn’t be reached on the phone.
A month ago, a tragic incident also happened after Edmund Eboyu, 28, resident of Amen A in Agama ward Soroti City West was found dead.
Area locals found him lying in a pool of blood in a trench along Nakatunya-Mortuary street, off Soroti Lira road in the same area.
