2 hospitalised after car collides with a motorcycle in Omoro

Omoro – March 12, 2022: Two people have been rushed to St Mary’s hospital Lacor in Gulu city after a collision between a Toyota vehicle and a motorcycle on March 10, along Gulu-Moroto road.
It is reported that the accident occurred at about 1642hrs at Adak along Gulu-Moroto road in Omoro district.
It involved a Toyota Corolla with registration number UAQ 789N driven by Arach Betty and a Bajaj motorcycle with registration number UEA 943W ridden by Okello Boniface.
Arach is a resident of Ariaga Laliya and Okello, a resident of Opit town council.
Okello sustained a serious injury and was later rushed to St. Mary’s Hospital Lacor for treatment.
ASP David Ongom Mudong, Aswa River Region Police spokesperson confirmed the accident and said that the scene was visited by police from Koro.
He added that both vehicle and motorcycle are currently parked at Koro Police Station pending the Inspector of Vehicle’s inspection to establish the likely cause of the accident.
Mudong added that the police have recorded the accident as a “serious accident” under reference number Omoro TAR:12/2022.
