PostBus driver flees after knocking train on its rail

Kampala – An accident between PostBus and a train on its rail occurred on Sunday evening in Kampala.

According to a statement issued by Kampala Metropolitan Police, the accident was “a minor accident”. It happened at 5pm.

“The accident happened today at a railwayline near Ggaba Kibuli Traffic lights,” a statement from police reads.

“It’s alleged that while other cars had stopped to give way to the train since it was horning, Post Bank Bus registration number UAP 731 U, hurriedly crossed the railwayline knocking the train that was on it’s rail.”

“Fortunately no one was injured, the driver of the Bus is currently unknown and on the run. Traffic flow in the area is now back to normal . Investigations into the matter continue,” police further says.
