Mr Tourism Northern Uganda crown for August 2020

Gulu –The year 2020 is a busy one for Northern Uganda Tourism Cluster. The cluster coordinator – Ms Kortina Akot told TND New on Saturday morning.

She says both Miss and Mr Tourism Northern Uganda crowns will take place on 1, August in Gulu Municipality – Acholi Inn Hotel.

Ms Kortina, however, says they have got “tentative set-up”

“Surprising this year we got Mr Tourism Northern Uganda 2020. Eligible young gentlemen please keep close,” she added.

A visiting Mr Tourism will crown Mr Tourism Northern Uganda, according to her, adding “This one in particular is open to all male persons from the greater North; from Lango, Acholi, Karamoja and West Nile.”

To be eligible, a contestant must;

Be a Ugandan of 18 years to 25 years.

Have a minimum of S4 qualification; tertiary institution and above.

Have Passport/national ID plus a yellow fever card.

Be passionate about Tourism sites and Cultures.

Be Acholi, Lango and or both.

Be able to speak & write the local language.

Have an endorsement letter from his Rwot [clan] and Village LC 1.

Have great entrepreneurship skills.

Be able to work with minimum supervision and long hours

Be flexible and ready to travel where duty calls and sometimes self-funded, mong the basics.
