Priests urged to replicate Jesus Christ’s trustworthiness

OMORO– The bishop of Northern Uganda Diocese Rev. Johnson Gakumba has called on parish priests to trust in God at all time and model their lives like Jesus Christ.

Rev. Gakumba said challenges facing men of God today are part of their work, adding that Jesus Christ faced face more battles.

“Be firm in faith and avoid temptation,” Bishop Gakumba said.

Bishop made the call to over 500 Christians during his visit to St. Andrew Church of Uganda in Awoo, Omoro district last Sunday.

He also urged Christians to be cooperative and with commitment to God if they want to enter the Kingdom of God.

“I want to thank you Christians for the support you offered during the construction of St. Andrew Church of Uganda. That was a good cooperation and commitment,” he said.

“Be united and supportive at all time as you follow the way of Jesus Christ,” Bishop Gakumba added.

In a mass he presided over, youths and elders got saved and baptized and urged to love one another and offering their time to pray for those ill and in poverty.
