The last known movements of legendary Afrigo Band leader Moses Matovu have come under renewed scrutiny as police and military detectives reconstructed the events surrounding his death in Kibuli, Kampala.
Moses Matovu is scheduled to be laid to rest in Kyanja on Friday, September 25, 2026, following funeral prayers and a vigil held as part of his send-off programme.
Moses Matovu was a prominent figure in Uganda’s music industry and a longtime leader of Afrigo Band, one of the country’s most recognised musical groups.
“We need a beautiful environment to enjoy our beautiful music, therefore we must all join efforts to conserve our nature. I therefore thank Stanbic Bank for leading this effort in Uganda,” says Awilo.
