Hoima City West Division Member of Parliament (MP), Kasule Ismail has called for a continued community cooperation for effective development.
Kasule Ismail, who was speaking during the launch of Ensonga Cup tournament in his constituency on Friday, said that continued community cooperations and support towards their leaders is very paramount in pushing for development of the area.
The legislator also asked communities to always interest themselves in activities which put them together, noting that such a cause will help in the transformation of Bunyoro sub-region.
He also said that support to leaders gives them strength to lobby for community developments.
“Continue to support your leaders so that they get inspired to lobby for multiple programs to develop the communities,” Kasule urged.
However, he noted that in spite of the continued initiative, a couple of external challenges including political interference exist.
“No one will stop the initiative,” he said. “Ensonga Cup is a community initiative and therefore no one will stop this.” he added.
Asinansi Nyakato Kamanda, appreciated the fellow legislators for the initiative, saying that it has brought unity among communities but also economic development.
Nyakato also appealed for continuous community support towards their political leaders like Kasule, noting that the support will push politicians to venture in more community developmental initiatives.
Muhanuzi Bosco, the mayer for Hoima City East Division, expressed his gratitude for the initiative which, according to him, will build strong social-economic transformation to communities.
