Isingiro District has emerged as Uganda’s best-performing local government in service delivery, scoring 98.37 percent in the 2025 Local Government Management of Service Delivery Performance Assessment.

The assessment, according to the National Synthesis Report released by the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), examined the performance of local governments in delivering services to citizens.

Isingiro’s score placed it at the top of the assessment, reflecting its performance across the areas evaluated by the assessment.

Kiruhura District followed closely in second position with a score of 97.10 percent.

Nansana Municipal Council took third position with 94.50 percent, placing it among the highest-performing local governments in the country.

The results provide an overview of how different local governments performed in the management and delivery of public services during the assessment period.

The performance assessment is intended to help identify areas where local governments are performing well as well as areas that require improvement.
