Veteran politician and former Member of Parliament, Beatrice Amongi Lagada was on Monday elected the new vice chairperson of Lira University Governing Council.
She was sworn in later in the afternoon, University statement posted on Facebook say.
Ms Lagada was led through the Oath by Commissioner of Oath, Counsel Q. Oyugi Onono of Onono & Company Advocates
A brief statement on Lira University Facebook page reads: “The Election and Swearing in of the Vice Chairperson, Council. The Council Body of Lira University has elected and sworn in a new Vice Chairperson, Hon Beatrice Amongi Lagada.”
