“My Brother Gen, There Are No Arrangements By Myself Or Individuals Associated With Me To Host Any Party” – She Says After Muhoozi Threatens Arrest

Former Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among has denied reports that she or people associated with her are planning a celebration following her reported release from restrictions.

Among made the clarification after Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba issued a strong warning against anyone planning to organise a party in her honour.

Muhoozi warned that there would be “ABSOLUTELY no party” for Among and threatened to arrest anybody involved in organising what he described as “nonsense.”

The senior military officer further cautioned that President Yoweri Museveni’s decision to forgive someone does not necessarily mean that all unresolved matters involving that person have been cleared.

His remarks quickly attracted attention across social media, with many Ugandans questioning the reported plans for a celebration and what could have prompted the military chief to issue such a strong warning.

Among subsequently responded directly to Muhoozi, distancing herself from the reported party and insisting that there were no arrangements involving her.

“My brother Gen, there are no arrangements by myself or individuals associated with me to host any party. God bless!” Among stated in her response.
