Ins and Outs as IGP Abas reshuffles police bosses in North Kyoga

North Kyoga region (Lango) has new police bosses – according to the latest statement.

On Wednesday, the regional police PRO, SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, said the changes followed a message which was signed by Inspector General of Police Byakagaba Abas, on April 14, 2026.

The changes are as follows:

D/SSP Batte Daniel from North Kyoga to Kiira as R/CID

SP Mugisa Daniel Karter who was D/RCID has been confirmed as R/CID North Kyoga

SSP Twala Peter from HRA to Lira as Duty Free Shop and Supermarket replacing SP Okalany Pius transferred to Nsambya as DFSS.

ASP Awio Darius from OC station Kitgum appointed R/PSF North Kyoga Region.

ASP Kangave Paul from OC Stn Kwania to Namayingo CPS as OC Station.

ASP Arop Richardson from OC Station Namayingo CPS to Kwania as OC Station.

ASP Asiimwe Alex from Busia to Otuke as District Traffic Officer

ASP Akello Miriam from Otuke to Kyankwanzi as District Traffic Officer.

SP Baguma Nicholas from North Kyoga to Kidepo as Reg ICT officer.

SP Musega Peter from Kidepo to North Kyoga as Reg ICT officer.

SP Ojuka Sam MTO North Kyoga to HRA

ASP Twinamasiko Ismail from KMP North to North Kyoga as Reg MTO

D/ASP Ayebazibwe Allan from D/CID Bulisa to Lira City East Division as D/CID.

D/ASP Munyerero Godfrey from Course to Lira-l City Central as D/CID.

D/ASP Alitia Amos from Lira-City East Division to West Nile as CID staff.

“We would like to thank very much all the outgoing officers for the good work exhibited in the North Kyoga Region and welcome new officers who have been deployed in different positions to join the team already in policing and fighting crime,” SP Okema said.
