Kiira police vows to arrest Muguluka armed robbers

Kiira Region’s RPC, SSP Charles Nsaba has pledged to arrest and prosecute the armed robbers who attacked a general merchandise shop in Muguluka West Zone, Kagoma town council, Jinja district.

The incident occurred on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at around 8:45pm.

The robbers, armed with two guns, a hammer, and a knife, held shop owner Fred Nkuutu at gunpoint and made off with shs2.5m along with other items from the shop.

While the community attempted to rescue Nkuutu, the suspects fired shots into the air to facilitate their escape.

Police swiftly arrived at the scene, documented the incident, and recovered a cartridge, which will be sent to ballistic experts for analysis.

SSP Nsaba, working with the flying squad and joint intelligence teams, has ramped up efforts to capture the culprits, retrieve the stolen weapons, and trace the salon vehicle used in the crime.

He has instructed officers in the region to carry out joint intelligence operations to ensure peace, stability, and the eradication of criminal activities.
