Amolatar: Herder presumed to have committed suicide

Amolatar |An investigation has been launched by police at the Amolatar Central Police Station and Agoa to ascertain the cause and manner of death of a man, age 31.

Okwanga Ronny, a herder, was discovered hanging on a rope inside his grass thatched house on Sunday, June 2, 2024.

Until his death, he lived in Obalopii Village, Ojem parish, Arwotcek sub-county, Amolatar.

His life ended tragically at around 6:00 p.m., though it is still unknown how or who killed him. 

Preliminary evidence suggests that he left his home in the morning to let animals graze. He was discovered hanging in his grass-thatched hut in the evening.

He had recently moved to (the house) where he died from, tndNews understands. 

The Agoga Police Outpost and Amolatar CPS are investigating the crime.

A suicide case was reported at the Agoga Police Outpost under the reference number SD03/06/2024.

Mental health could be blamed for this death. This health challenge remains the major cause of suicide across the country.
