Amolatar woman MP Dr Apea says NRM has evolved Uganda

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his NRM government have evolved Uganda, Dr Agnes Atim Apea has said.

Dr Apea, the incumbent woman MP for Amolatar district, says Ugandans need to celebrate how far this government has brought this country.

From agriculture to health and politics to security, Dr Apea commends President Museveni for a great job in forty years of his leadership.

She stated that the country can now clearly differentiate between the other years—years plus—and the 40 years we are in today.

In forty years, she noted, “We have been able to witness how the country has evolved up to the level it’s at today.”

Although she didn’t make it in the January 15 parliamentary poll to reclaim her woman MP seat, Dr Apea says she is proud of her roles and contributions to the local and national development and politics since 2021.

During her four-and-a-half-year tenure, she mobilized communities in Amolatar and empowered women and youth, and girls, with livelihood programs.

Her reelection message and manifesto for 2026-2031 aligned with the NRM’s. She was personally bold on poverty eradication, youth and empowerment; jobs and job creation.

The people of Amolatar deserve a leader who prioritizes their welfare over self-interest,” she said in one of her campaign rallies last year.

An empowered woman is a good woman, she said in Amolatar last year while meeting dozens of women during one of her routine constituency engagements.
