The head catechist of the Dokolo Catholic parish, Bosco Okello, has cautioned Christians against abortion, saying it is killing many women.
Speaking on Monday during the burial ceremonies of the late Selina Ayo, 80, at Kampala village, Alenga parish, Dokolo sub-county, Dokolo, Okello said abortion is “a crime.”
He urged Christians to stop because it’s claiming the lives of many women.
Okello, who also doubles as the catechist of St. Aloncius Gonzaga Iguli Chapel, Amwoma Zone, also encouraged Christians to have a humanitarian heart of supporting and caring for older persons in the community.
He stated that older persons face many challenges.
The catechist encourages the children of God to utilise what they have in hand to support the needy, including the poor and older persons, to be rewarded with blessings from God.
He further advised married couples to seek God first and start building good relationships with one another, beginning in the family, to have a peaceful and joyful life.
Francis Ojok, an independent aspirant for Member of Parliament, Dokolo North, rallied parents to support the school and education of their children.
