Lira City Council Football Club has unveiled its squad and new Public Relations Officer (PRO) for the 2024/25 season.
This took place on Tuesday, October 22, at Lango College in Lira City.
More than 20 players for the upcoming season were unveiled to the press and fans. The Club, abbreviated as LCC FC, has had a number of players approved by FUFA for the season, as mandated by Federation Regulations.
The expanded squad includes goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards, with new coach Dan Ogwal Engwedo set to lead the team this season.
New signings include Emmanuel Olwoch from Rwampara FC, Safik Saban from Elite FC, and Dickens Okwir Dyara from Young Elephant FC.
Others include Ayoo Emmanuel from Soficel, Joshua Epila [unattached], Opio Dante from UPDF FC, and Jacob Olanya from Awita FC.
Opima Joshua and Ododngo Ronald, aka Alar, have also joined the team.
Along with the squad, the Club unveiled their new PRO, Opua John Baptist, who takes over for Abel Ogwang, who has moved on to Blacks Power FC.

The unveiling event also included a match between LCC FC and Abongo Rwot FC of Erute South, Lira District.
Alal Eron, a FUFA official for the Northern region, was the event’s chief guest and praised Lira City Council Football Club for always adhering to regulations.
He advised the club’s managers not to interfere with the technical team’s work.
Last season, LCC FC finished third in the Regional League, behind Red Devo FC and Northern Gateway SC.
The three-year-old club is set to begin the new season on Saturday, October 26, 2024, against Red Devo FC from Namasale, Amolatar at Rhino Park [Lango College play ground].
