Okodo gives Adwala Primary School 60 roofing sheets

Roofing sheets

Amolatar | On July 23, Okodo Peter of Jerusalem School of Nursing and Midwifery fulfilled his pledge of 60 roofing sheets to Adwala Primary School in Amolatar.

At the Amolatar Women’s Day celebration, Okodo promised to supply the school with sixty roofing sheets so that a dormitory could be roofed.

On Wednesday, he also donated 20 roofing sheets to Atomoro Primary School for the teachers’ houses.

He also donated roofing sheets to Anamwany Health Centre III.

Okodo also donated basins and soaps to pregnant mothers attending their antenatal appointments at the facility.

While at Adwala Primary School, Okodo, who has set his sights on the Kyoga North MP seat, stated that his main priorities are education, health, and good roads.

He stated that all three contribute to the community’s wealth.

He urged parents to secure their children’s future by sending them to school and paying their fees.

“Education is bitter to both parents and children at first, but sweet in the end,” he said, adding, “Without good health, there is no wealth creation.”

He encouraged community members at Anamwany Primary School, particularly men, to love their wives, especially when they are pregnant.

Mary Immaculate Ayipu, chairperson of Adwala Primary School’s management committee, praised Okodo for keeping his promise to the school.

Obala Patrick, Chairperson of the Parents and Teachers Association, thanked Okodo for his kind heart and urged parents not to forget such a person.

Jasinta Omara of Oturulakodal village, a parent at Adwala Primary School, thanked Okodo for “bailing them out” of the school’s roofing dilemma.

Another parent, Betty Okello, rallied parents to support Okodo’s political ambitions.

Oweta Joshua, the in-charge of Anamwany Health Centre III, stated that the facility is “overjoyed with Okodo’s support.”

He added that patients and carers have suffered from a lack of kitchen to prepare meals.

The elders and leaders of Awelo had previously blessed Okodo’s bid for MP in 2026.
