Abim I Okidi Paul Nalibe died after his friend, Owilli Richard Babito, accidentally cut his private part with a panga.
The incident took place during an evening gathering in Aywee West village, Kalakala ward, Kiru town council, Abim.
Nalibe approached Kongomit, the owner of the panga, and requested to buy it. Babito attempted to retrieve the panga while Nalibe held it between his legs, resulting in a fatal injury.
Otim Richard, the LC1 chairman of Aywee West, confirmed the tragic event and said Babito is currently in police custody.
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of how crucial it is to handle sharp objects carefully in order to lessen the terrible effects of unintentional harm.
The community is still in shock, and authorities are investigating the incident.
