Dokolo | On July 19, 2024, at around 8 p.m., a young pedestrian named Oyuku Fedelis, 16, was struck and killed.
The deceased lived in Odeye Central cell, Amuda Eastern ward, Agwata town council, Dokolo district.
He was killed instantly at Agwata trading centre on the Lira-Soroti road by a motor vehicle bearing the registration number UBL 579U, Noah Silver in colour.
North Kyoga Region PRO SP Patrick Jimmy Okema stated that the driver is unknown and was driving from Lira to Soroti.
According to Okema, the motor vehicle’s front number plate fell off and remained at the scene.
“However, the said vehicle continued in the direction of Soroti … .The OC traffic Dokolo visited the scene, the deceased body was picked and conveyed to Dokolo Health Center IV mortuary pending post mortem examinations.”
According to preliminary findings, the cause of the fatal crash was overspeeding.

“We encourage the driver to report himself to the nearest police station.”
Using URA makes it easier for us to determine who owns the vehicle, Okema stated.
