Georgiana Daniels Foundation | Martyrs’ Day message

Georgiana Daniels Foundation

Kapchorwa | The Martyrs—both Catholic and Anglican—accepted to die for their beliefs because of their love for Jesus Christ, generosity and faith.

“The Martyrs were generous with their lives, gave their time to preach, and later accepted death. As living faithfuls, we must not only remember those who have died in order to reap their benefits, but also keep them in our hearts forever,” says Anne Cherop, Executive Director of the Georgiana Daniels Foundation.

“We join everyone in celebrating our Martyrs and being a part of the faith they carried,” she said.

The Foundation encourages young people to be committed to their religious beliefs and to remain positively ambitious as they grow.

According to Anne, the Foundation is dedicated to positively empowering and supporting young people, particularly those from low-income families who are struggling to obtain an education.

“We are devoted to ensuring that education does not end at the primary or secondary levels, especially for parents who cannot afford it; the Foundation is preparing to assist, and we are inspired by our faith in God,” the Executive Director told tndNews Monday.

Nebbi Catholic Diocese is leading the liturgy for this year’s celebrations under the theme from the Book of Joshua 24:25, “But as for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord.”

The Anglican Church (Church of Uganda) has picked their theme from the Book of Romans 1:1-2 and it reads: “…Conforming to the truth of Gods world, not to the pattern of the world.
