At last, PLU uses ‘top roots’ to reach Lango

Lira | The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has officially established a branch in Lango through top roots. 

PLU, the brainchild of First Son General Muhoozi Kainerugabe, has been naming coordinators for other (sub)regions of the country over the last few months.

Lango sub-region has been waiting. MP David Kabanda, PLU Secretary General, ended the wait on June 9.

In his letter, Kabanda stated that he was pleased to inform that the Chairman of the Patriotic League of Uganda had appointed individuals to serve in various capacities in the Lango sub-region.

The coordinator is Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, the Lira City woman MP. Tonny Ayoo, MP for Kwania County, will serve as her assistant coordinator.

Omara Joe Makim, Oyite Emmanuel, and Dr. Lakisa Mercy will be the secretary, publicity, and youth council representative, respectively.

Kyoga North MP James Olobo Dubai is the elderly council representative while Her Worship Alwedo Rebecca Ogole will serve as the PWD council representative.

Adia Rebecca Moro is the woman council representative.

“The leadership of PLU is confident of the dedication and commitment of the above mentioned individuals to PLU’s values of patriotism and combating corruption and wastage of public resources.

“We envisage this team significantly contributing to our efforts in engaging and mobilising the citizenry in Lango sub-region towards transformation and socioeconomic development,” Kabanda said.

Soon after the news broke, NRM MPs and top roots Dr. Aceng and MP Ayoo welcomed the appointments via X posts.
