Luwero| A mini medical camp was organised on Thursday, May 30 by Lira City MP Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero for Lango pilgrims who are approaching the shrines of the Namugongo Martyrs.
Lango pilgrims had an opportunity to get medically checked.
The medical team included Mulago National Hospital doctors, a malaria consortium team, and other health professionals.
Pilgrims were treated for various illnesses, including malaria and fatigue. Dozens also received physiotherapy.
Those treated expressed gratitude for the Lira City Woman MP’s consistent and generous support.
Dr. Aceng has been a constant source of support for the pilgrims throughout their journeys.
While they were camping in Luwero on Wednesday, she provided them with food and drinks.

Lango pilgrims are estimated to number over 1,000 and are of Anglican and Catholic faith.
