On May 26, 2024, around 9 p.m., it was discovered that Olinga Solomon had left home and gone to the trading centre for leisure.
However, when he arrived at the trading centre, he encountered the suspect, Enon Sadrick, who accused him of stealing his memory card.
“Immediately, the suspect pulled out a knife, stabbed him in the left ribs, and fled,” North Kyoga Regional PRO SP Patrick Jimmy Okema stated.
“The deceased collapsed, blood oozing from the point of impact; he was quickly picked up and rushed to Aduku Health Centre IV. However, he died upon arrival at the hospital after a doctor examined him,” Okema added.
The deceased’s body was later transported to Lira Regional Referral Hospital for post-mortem examination.

“We also call for calmness from the relatives of the deceased. Let’s allow the suspect to be handled by the law of Uganda,” Okema appealed.
