Police have detained at least 15 students from Muntu Seed Secondary School in Amolatar district.
The students were taken to Amolatar Central Police Station due to a strike.
According to a preliminary report, Odongo Derrick, a senior student, was suspended in the afternoon of April 25, 2024.
To the surprise of the school authorities, he was seen again in school last night (Thursday) mobilising fellow students to strike over his suspension.
He was suspended for stealing and had several cases of theft of school property, including a mattress, according to the head teacher, Ogangi Geoffrey.
This is the second incident of misconduct in Lango West schools in less than a week. Students at Apac Seed Secondary went on strike earlier this week, forcing the school to close abruptly.
