Milk processing plants rose to 160 in 2022, says DDA

The licensed milk processing plants have increased from 116 in 2021 to 160 in 2022, according to Dairy Development Authority (DDA).

The Authority further announces that the plants installed have a capacity of 3.4 million litres.

“Milk processing capacity stands at an average of 2.3 million liters with more than 21 milk products processed countrywide,” adds DDA.

The Acting Executive Director of the Dairy Development Authority, Samson Akankiza released the Annual Dairy Sector Performance Report for 2021/2022 last week at Uganda Media Centre.
